What is semi permanent makeup?

Semi Permanent Makeup has been popular in the US for many, many years and is still fairly new in the UK in comparison. It is the latest trend sweeping the UK in the beauty industry.

In the US it is often referred to as Derma Graphics, Permanent Cosmetics and Permanent Makeup. In the UK it is usually referred to as Semi Permanent Makeup, Cosmetic Tattooing , Cosmetic Enhancement and Micropigmentation. Semi permanent makeup can last from 18 months upto 5 years. After the initial treatment, a retouch will be applied (included in the price) approximately 4 - 6 weeks after the first procedure. Semi Permanent Makeup consists of natural iron oxide which is applied 1-2mm into the dermal layer of the skin in a colour chosen by both the client and technician that will compliment the client.

It is unlike conventional tattooing, which goes a lot deeper into the skin, also no carbon is used in the inks in Semi Permanent Makeup, making it a lot kinder to the skin.

Will it be painful?

The treatments are relatively pain free. It may feel a little uncomfortable for some people, and some people don't feel anything at all. All our treatments are carried out using anaesthetic cream to numb the area prior to treatment. The recovery time is minimal with fantastic long lasting results.
